That Lip Smackin' Lid

the basics

Decarb (dried for cooking) cannabis

Supplies:

  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet
  • Foil or Parchment paper (no wax paper)
  • Weed

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F
  2. Line baking sheet with foil or parchment paper
  3. Place your broken-up or ground cannabis on the baking sheet
  4. Bake cannabis for 30 minutes

The cannabis will change to a brownish color to signal it is properly decarb’ed for use in recipes.

3.5 grams to 1 cup salted butter

Supplies :

  • non stick sauce pan
  • Mason jar
  • Cheese cloth
  • Decarb Cannabis
  • 1 cup salted butter

Steps:

  1. In a medium saucepan on very low heat, add butter.
  2. When the butter is melted, add the decarboxylated cannabis. Mix well with a wooden spoon and cover with lid.
  3. Let mixture gently simmer for 4 hours. Stir every half hour to make sure your butter isn’t burning. If you have a thermometer, check to make sure the temperature doesn’t reach above 180°.
  4. After 4 hours, strain with cheesecloth or metal strainer into a container. Let the butter cool to room temperature. Use immediately or keep in refrigerator or freezer in a well-sealed mason jar for up to six months.
